Hello! I am 7 ½ years old. I got this book for Valentine’s Day.I like when Puppy Princess went to Sierra Leone because my daddy’s from Sierra Leone.
I like when Sheba is barking at the silverback gorillas in Rwanda. I wonder if the gorillas were scared!
I like when Puppy Princess Sheba goes to see the art in Ethiopia.
I like when they meet the king and queen in Morocco.
I like when Puppy Princess Sheba goes to Lesothos because the princess has a beautiful dress and dancers.
I like when they visited the ancient library in Timbuktu, Mali.
I also like the part where they rode on a plane.
I would definitely recommend this book to other kids. Recommend is one of my spelling words. I like the artwork too because it’s colorful!

Sheba and her family travel through many countries in Africa. It is a great history lesson for all ages. The pictures show how different each country is with the scenery and what the people are wearing. I can't wait for Sheba to travel to the other countries in Africa. I am looking forward to learning more.
Such a cute book with lots of nice facts about various African countries! My children had fun pronouncing the different city names and asked to learn more about what they read. The illustrations are beautiful!
Beautiful illustrations accompany a history lesson for both young and old. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would purchase future installments discussing interesting facts about all the remaining African countries. We need more storybooks providing a different viewpoint of a continent usually displayed in a negative light!! So refreshing!!!
My 2.5 year old daughter loved this boook! She is full of so much energy, and even though I try to read to her daily, it's rare that she'll sit still for an entire book. With "Puppy Princess Sheba Goes to Africa", however, she was very intrigued and sat through the whole story! The colors are vivid, the cadence is easy, and it's always a plus to have stories about people that look like her. Thanks, Dr Sesay, for giving our children such a wonderful gift!
I love this book! Dogs are my toddler's favorite animal and I love that this puppy is going to historical sites throughout the continent of Africa. This book tells a great story and is beautifully illustrated. I also love that my daughter has a collection of books with people who look like her. We are waiting for more in the Puppy Princess Sheba series!
I just read this book to my three children and they absolutely loved it! The loved hearing about the adventures of the Puppy Princess and I loved talking to them about the different treasures in Africa. One of the things that excited my son the most was that Puppy Princess Sheba ate Jollof rice in Senegal, lol. He really got a kick out of that. I look forward to continuing to educate my children about the wonderful gem that is Africa as I read this book to them over and over again and hearing about Puppy Princess Sheba's future adventures
As an African (Zambian) I am always particular about how books portray Africa. This is such a refreshingly positive look at the beauty (not just animals!) and diversity that our great continent has. The author has done a lovely job in capturing that for young minds. My 3 year old son loves the book and we read and talk about each page at a time for bedtime story. I'm buying copies for my nieces and will recommend it to anyone that I can. I would have given more stars if I could!
